Today, 1st of February, is the official start date of the LUMIERE project. For the next five years, we – the LUMIERE Team – will be developing new isotopic tools for the study of archaeological human remains from both inhumation and cremation contexts. Questions of mobility and landscape use across Europe from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages feature at the core of this project.
It is also a new start for the PI, Christophe Snoeck, beginning his tenure track at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel jointly between the Analytical, Environmental and Geo-Chemistry Research Unit (AMGC) and the Maritime Culture Research Institute (MARI).
We look forward to sharing our research and results with you –
