It’s been just over a month since I moved to Brussels to start my PhD with ERC Lumiere project. Having completed a travel quarantine, I aimed to hit the ground running with my research, and now feel at home in the friendly environment of the AMGC labs.
I begin my project by continuing my work with incremental isotopic analysis. The aim is to use serial isotopic proxies to track the geographical movements of various individuals and populations from across prehistoric Europe, whilst also analysing the simultaneous changes observed in their diet. The technique also aims to give some insight into differences between breast feeding stratagems across Europe.
